Content Presentation Students will read the “Thinking like scientist” passage about Jane Goodall, annotating as they read.
Learner Participation Students will choose at least one comprehension question us verbally using the flipgrid.com website, creating a video to present their answer and using all the elements of the RACE strategy. Students will use the video comment feature of flipgrid.com to provide feedback to other students on their use of the RACE Strategy. Teacher will present positive and negative examples to the class to model appropriate answers. Comprehension Questions (on First page) What skills do scientists use to learn about the world? What attitudes are important in science? Formative Assessment Teacher will check for understanding by watching posted student answers, Correcting misunderstandings and provide feedback as needed.
